The Ionia Community Library, in conjunction with 23 other libraries throughout the Lakeland Library Cooperative, is offering downloadable audiobook titles online!  All you need is your computer, an internet connection, and your library card!  Listen to your audiobooks at home or download them to your mp3 player!  You can check out great bestsellers and new releases on your own schedule.

A reminder to currently enrolled students, classes run the first three Thursdays of October, November, and December from 6 to 7:30 p.m.  Because this is a progressive class, participants are encouraged to attend all sessions each month.   If you would like to be placed on the wait list, please contact our library staff by calling (616) 527-3680.

Dive down in search of lost Michigan shipwrecks in ‘Gales of November’

Dive under the seas in search of the Edmund Fitzgerald and other lost shipwrecks when the Ionia Community Library hosts “The Gales of November” shipwreck program on Tuesday, November 10 at 7 p.m. at the Ionia Theatre.  Michigan Shipwreck Research Associate Valerie van Heest will present a multimedia program which exhibits a great combination of science, exploration, and storytelling.  A book signing will follow the program.  This program is intended for individuals 12 and older.  Please make alternative arrangements for small children.
